Explore Licking County has been a prominent feature of Courthouse Square for over a century, located at One North Third Street. Completed in 1914 and inaugurated on May 25, 1915, as The Home Building Association Company, commonly known as The Old Home, this structure is one of only eight banks designed by the renowned American architect Louis Sullivan. The building stands as both a national treasure and a cherished part of Central Ohio heritage. Over the years, it has housed various businesses, including a butcher shop, a jewelry store, and an ice cream parlor. Despite these changes, the building historic and architectural significance has remained intact. In 1973, Explore Licking County was honored with a place on the National Register of Historic Places.
