Nearly all of their pieces are handmade in their Los Angeles studio. Made Solid aesthetic draws inspiration from natural coastal California design, classic Western Americana, the simplicity of Japan, and the traditions of friends from Mexico to West Africa. Ninety percent of the leather they use is vegetable-tanned saddle leather from the Hermann Oak Tannery in St. Louis, Missouri. This leather is tanned through an all-natural process, using a tea of only water and oak tree bark.
