Skinny Dog Collective is a passion project that began in an Amsterdam apartment, inspired by a love for whippet Zadie and her fellow sighthound friends. The journey started just before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic when Zadie, a 5-month-old blue whippet, came home. It quickly became apparent that finding well-fitting, stylish dog clothing for sighthounds, especially in Europe, was a challenge. Despite never having used a sewing machine, the boredom of lockdown combined with a deep affection for Zadie pushed the project forward. Skinny Dog Collective goal was simple yet ambitious: to create a jumper that offered Zadie both warmth and the freedom of movement she needed, while also looking great.
