In May 2015, The Great Escape Game launched the "Escape" game. They are known as the “live escape room experience,” where friends, family, and colleagues try to figure out how to escape a particular scene. The door is locked and the clock is ticking. You must work together to find clues and progress through solving the puzzle. The Great Escape Game currently has 16 escape rooms in three locations. Two in downtown Sheffield and one in downtown Leeds. Their prices start at £15 per person, depending on the size of your group and the time you play the game, and special discounts are available for schools, charities and students. Their Sheffield Sidney Street hotel offers what the industry calls "1st generation" rooms. These rooms are usually non-technical and have simple mechanical devices such as padlocks.
