Fair Park were declared a National Historic Site in 1986. They cover 277 acres and are located just east of downtown Dallas. The park opened in 1886 during the Dallas State Fair, and several buildings, including the Centennial Building and Cotton Bowl Stadium as well as debuted between 1900 and 1930.
